Kelly Kettle Base Camp Basic Kit 1.6 L Stainless Steel Camping Kettle with Cook Set and Pot Support

Kelly Kettle Base Camp 1.6 litre stainless steel camping kettle kit

A stainless steel wood-fuelled camping kettle and cook set in one, with no gas or batteries needed.

The Kelly Kettle Base Camp Basic Kit brings together a 1.6 litre stainless steel kettle, cook set and pot support in one compact camp kitchen setup. It uses a fire contained within the kettle and fire base, so you can boil water and cook at the same time without gas, batteries or fuel costs.

What comes with the basic kit

• Stainless steel kettle
• Cook set
• Pot support
• Fire base
• Drawstring carry bag

The cook set packs inside the kettle for easier storage and transport. According to the listing, the pot support lets you cook over the chimney top while the kettle boils, or you can use the fire base as a simple wood camping stove.

• Suitable for camping, fishing, hunting, trekking, backpacking, Scouts, garden allotments and power cuts
• Compact enough for transport, with the full kit listed at 1.62 kg

Size and capacity

• Kettle capacity: 1.5 litres
• Pot capacity: 0.85 litres
• Approximate boil capacity: around 5 large cups of water

Things to keep in mind

This is a fuel-free system in the sense that it does not need gas or batteries, but it still needs suitable natural fuel and a safe place to use a contained fire. The listing also states that the fire is contained within the kettle and fire base, rather than being an open fire.

Kelly Kettle describes this model as lightweight, compact and durable, with a 2 year anti-leak warranty mentioned in the source listing.
