PETZL Bug Climbing Backpack 18 litres, Red/Orange

Compact 18 litre climbing backpack for single-day routes

A compact 18 litre climbing pack with stable carry, useful organiser pockets and a durable build for single-day multi-pitch use.

The PETZL Bug is a compact climbing backpack designed for single-day multi-pitch use, with an 18 litre capacity and a shape that aims to stay out of the way when you are moving on the wall. The Red/Orange finish gives it a clear, easy-to-spot look, while the compact, ergonomic profile is also described as suitable for everyday use.

Built for movement and organisation

Several details are aimed at keeping the pack practical on the climb. The bottom and sides are lined with high-tenacity fabric for added durability, and the pack includes a stowaway waistbelt plus an adjustable sternum strap to help stabilise the load.

• Wide exterior pocket for quick access
• Interior compartment for a hydration system or laptop
• Wallet pocket
• Topo pocket at the back of the pack

What to consider before ordering

With 18 litres of space, this is a smaller pack intended for day use rather than larger hauling jobs. The listed features focus on climbing convenience and everyday carry, so it suits buyers who want a compact pack with a few well-placed storage options rather than a large, heavily structured backpack.

The product data also points to side compression straps and luggage attachment, which may help with volume control and carrying flexibility.
