The Recon is The North Face’s classic 30 litre backpack, built with the kind of organisation that suits commuting, school, travel and day hikes. It combines a spacious main compartment with a dedicated laptop sleeve, so your essentials stay separated and easier to reach.
Designed for organised carry
The front stash pocket gives you quick access to smaller items, while the front compartment adds two fleece-lined pockets, one zipped and one open. Two stretchy mesh water bottle pockets also work as multi-use pockets, which helps keep the inside of the bag less cluttered.
Comfortable for longer days out
The FlexVent suspension system uses a flexible yoke, custom injection-moulded shoulder straps, a padded mesh back panel and a breathable lumbar panel. There is also a top handle for easy grabbing, plus a removable waist belt and sternum strap with whistle buckle for added support.
Materials and size
This backpack measures 48.9 cm x 33 cm x 17.8 cm and has a 30 litre capacity. It is made from nylon with a PFC DWR free finish, and the base uses 1680D ballistic nylon. Reflective details are included for better visibility.
