The Fire-Maple FMS-X3 is a compact camping stove and pot system designed to pack down neatly for backpacking, hiking and other outdoor cooking trips. The stove, folding canister stand, pot stand and a 110g gas cartridge all fit inside the 0.8 litre pot, which keeps the set tidy in your pack. Please note that the gas canister is not included.
Built for efficient outdoor cooking
The listing describes a wind-resistant heating system with a heater exchanger, and says it can boil 0.5L of water in about 100 seconds. It is also described as being 30% more heat efficient than other brands, so it is aimed at saving time and fuel on short trips.
What the pot is like to use
The 0.8 litre pot is made from anodized aluminium and comes with an insulating neoprene sleeve. Inside, there are water level measurement lines to help with meal prep. The foldable locking handle is coated with nylon and is designed to help with safe handling while cooking, while also holding the lid securely in place.
Who it suits
This set is aimed at solo hikers and campers who want a compact cooking solution for simple meals and hot drinks. The listing mentions ramen, pasta, dehydrated meals, coffee and tea, and also notes use for fishing and beach cooking.
