MOUNTAINTOP 40L Water-Resistant Hiking Backpack, Dark Grey

MOUNTAINTOP 40L water-resistant hiking backpack in dark grey

A 40L hiking backpack with water-resistant 400D polyester, organised storage and support features for day trips and short outdoor stays.

This 40L MOUNTAINTOP rucksack is built for hiking, trekking, travelling, camping, cycling and climbing, with a size that also suits weekend breaks or three-day excursions. The selected dark grey colour gives it a straightforward, low-key look, while the 40 litre capacity offers room for the kind of kit most people want to keep together in one pack.

The pack is made from tear- and water-resistant 400D polyester fabric, so it is designed to cope with some bad weather and regular outdoor use. It is not a hard-shell bag, but the material choice and reinforced stress points are aimed at giving it a more durable feel than a basic daypack.

Storage that keeps essentials easy to reach

The layout includes a main compartment, two front pockets, two side pockets, one hidden pocket and one bottom pocket. That gives you a few different places to separate everyday items from bulkier gear, rather than having everything loose in one section.

• Main compartment for larger items
• Two front pockets for quick-access essentials
• Two side pockets for bottles or other small items
• Hidden pocket and bottom pocket for extra organisation

Carrying comfort for longer days out

Padded shoulder straps use a honeycomb material to help reduce pressure on the shoulders. A chest strap and waist belt are included to help spread the load more evenly, while the back structure is designed to create airflow and reduce sweat build-up during wear.

Details that matter on the trail

The backpack uses a smooth YKK zipper and reinforced bar-tacked stress points. Compression belts can also be used to carry trekking poles, sleeping bags, tents and other camping equipment.

• 40L capacity
• Tear- and water-resistant 400D polyester
• YKK zipper
• Chest strap and waist belt
• Compression belts for extra gear

Its stated size is 21.7 x 13 x 7.9 inches, and the listing notes that it conforms to EU maximum carry-on luggage size.
