MT Army Military Modular Sleeping Bag System with Bivy Cover, Coyote

MT modular sleeping bag system with bivy cover in coyote

A modular sleeping bag system with a bivy cover and waterproof stuff sack, built for layered use across milder to very cold conditions.

This MT sleeping bag system brings together a bivy cover, a patrol/recon sleeping bag, an intermediate cold weather sleeping bag and a waterproof stuff sack. The pieces can be used separately or combined, so you can build the level of warmth you need rather than relying on one bag for every trip.

What the system includes

• The bivy cover uses waterproof, breathable fabric with wind-resistant, fully seam-pressed construction.
• The patrol/recon sleeping bag uses nylon ripstop, high-grade military filling and a double-sided heavy-duty YKK zipper.
• The intermediate sleeping bag uses Polarguard HV filling and is described as retaining some insulation even when wet.
• The large stuff sack is made from waterproof nylon and is sized to hold the patrol bag, the intermediate bag and the bivy cover.

How the layers are meant to work

The system is set up for different conditions through a mix of summer, spring and autumn, winter low-temperature and winter or high-mountain use. The listing says the pieces can be used on their own or together, with the combined setup intended for much colder conditions than either bag alone.

The patrol/recon bag is listed with a comfortable temperature recommendation of 5 to 15 degrees and an extremely low temperature of -1 degree. The intermediate bag is listed with a comfortable temperature recommendation of -15 to 0 degrees, and the combined patrol plus intermediate setup is said to reach -40 degrees, with a comfortable range of -30 to -20.
