Vango Denali Pro 60:70 rucksack in Classic Blue

A DofE-approved trekking rucksack with an adjustable back system, hydration compatibility and a detachable rain cover for longer outdoor trips.

The Denali Pro 60:70 is a trekking rucksack built for longer days out, expedition use and multi-day carrying. The Classic Blue version keeps the look straightforward, while the 60:70 size gives you the extra room needed for kit that takes up more space on overnight or extended trips.

Vango has used Excel Eco 600D recycled polyester and Excel Eco 250D Ripstop fabric here, so the pack is built around durable materials with a more eco-conscious approach. It is also part of the Duke of Edinburgh Award Kit List, which will matter if you are buying for school expeditions or DofE use.

Fit and carrying comfort

The Single Adjust A1 back system is one of the key features. It can be adjusted with one hand and is built around body-contoured alloy bars, making it easier to get a better fit across different back lengths. The shaped harness, ergonomic padded hip belt and breathable AirMesh shoulder straps are all there to help spread the load more comfortably on longer walks.

Storage and access

This pack gives you more than one way into your gear, which is useful when you do not want to unpack everything to reach one item. The storage layout includes:

  • dual access points for easier packing and retrieval
  • a large external pocket for wet gear or a flysheet
  • a top lid with zip pocket
  • an under-lid pocket for smaller valuables
  • a water-resistant map compartment
  • pro-weave side pockets that expand when needed

Outdoor carry details

For carrying extra kit, the rucksack includes daisy chains, dual compression straps, and dedicated ice axe and walking pole attachments. Reflective points are included for better visibility in low light, and the sternum strap has an integrated emergency whistle.

An internal hydration sleeve works with most hydration bladders, so you can keep water close at hand while moving. There is also a water-resistant pocket on the hip belt for items you want to reach quickly.

Weather protection and small extras

A detachable rain cover is stored in the base of the pack for wetter conditions. Inside, an optional drawcord divider can help keep cleaner kit separate from damp or dirty items. Multiple grab handles also make the pack easier to lift and move around when you are not wearing it.

For anyone looking for a larger trekking rucksack with a proper fit system, practical storage and a few well-judged expedition details, this is a solid, no-nonsense option.
