Snugpak Bivvi Bag WGTE Waterproof Sleeping Bag Cover, Black, Extra Long

Snugpak waterproof bivvi bag in extra long size

A lightweight bivvy bag with windproof, breathable protection for wild camping and emergency shelter.

The Snugpak Bivvi Bag WGTE is a lightweight sleeping bag cover designed to give you extra protection from wind and wet conditions when you are camping outdoors. This version is Black and Extra Long, so it suits anyone who wants a more generous fit in a compact shelter layer.

It uses Paratex Dry nylon and is described as having a 5000mm hydrostatic head, with breathable construction to help moisture escape while you sleep. That makes it a useful bit of kit for wild camping, emergency use, or as part of a sleeping setup when you want a simple outer layer between you and the weather.

Why it may suit your kit

• Lightweight at 300g, so it is easier to carry in a pack.
• Designed to be windproof and waterproof for added shelter.
• Breathable construction helps reduce trapped moisture.
• Can be used on its own or alongside a sleeping system and air mat.
• Compact enough to keep as part of an emergency or backup setup.

Things to bear in mind

This is a bivvy bag rather than a full tent or sleeping bag, so it is best thought of as a protective cover and shelter layer. The extra long size may be especially helpful if you prefer more room, but the right setup will still depend on how you plan to use it and what else you carry.

For anyone looking for a simple, packable bivvy bag for outdoor shelter, this is aimed at practical use rather than bulky comfort features.
